About This Service

I am a parent of a neurodivergent child and offer uniquely peer-led support informed by professional experience. I have a background as a mental health nurse and DBT therapist, which supports my understanding of emotion regulation, sensory differences, and family wellbeing. This service is offered independently of my NHS employment.

What I Offer

  • Understanding, validation, and emotional support for parents and carers
  • Practical strategies for everyday family life
  • Support to better understand sensory differences, emotional responses, and overwhelm
  • Support for families whose children are diagnosed, awaiting diagnosis, or exploring neurodivergence
  • Parent-focused support, and where appropriate, separate age-appropriate conversations with children to support understanding of differences

1:1 Therapeutic Support

for Children (Ages 5+)

About this service:

Private therapeutic support for children navigating neurodivergence, managing big emotions, or processing life experiences. Using age-appropriate, trauma-informed approaches, I create a safe space for children to understand themselves a little more.

What I offer

  • Emotion Exploration — Create a safe space to explore emotions and understand what triggers different feelings
  • Psychoeducation & Coping Strategies — Learn evidence-based techniques to manage emotions in the moment, with practical strategies tailored to your child’s needs
  • Sleep Hygiene & Sensory Support — Develop personalized sleep routines that incorporate sensory strategies to support better rest and emotional regulation
  • Emotion Regulation Skills — Build practical tools for recognizing and managing emotions, with age-appropriate techniques
  • Life Stressor Impact — Understand how specific life events and stressors affect your child’s emotional capacity and develop strategies to build resilience
  • In-the-Moment Management — Equip your child with accessible strategies to use when emotions feel overwhelming

  • This is clinical, therapeutic support — different from peer support.
  • Informed by my background as a DBT therapist and mental health nurse.

About this service:

SimplyBee with PranaFlow

A collaboration between Anna Thompson and Emily Stockhill, both Registered Mental Health Nurses. Offering children's wellness sessions designed to support emotional wellbeing, confidence, and calm.

Led by Emily (Yoga Teacher) and Anna (Breathwork Practitioner), we bring both professional and personal experience supporting children — including those with additional learning needs — creating a safe, understanding and supportive space.

What we offer:

A 2 hour session divided into the following age groups

  • 6-8
  • 9-11
  • 12-13
  • 14-16

Important to know

These sessions are currently held in Wilberfoss community centre and held in the school holidays.

Pricing: £30 per child for 2-hour sessions.
